Samsung is gradually rolling out the May 2024 security patch for eligible devices. After introducing the update for several flagship and midrange devices, the Galaxy A13 is now getting the update.

Samsung is rolling out the May 2024 security patch for both the 4G and 5G variants of the Galaxy A13 in the US. The user can easily identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers A136USQS9DXE5 and A135USQS8DXE2. The update is currently spotted for the locked units, and it is expected that the locked units will also get a new update in the next few days.
May 2024 security patch fixes for more than 50 vulnerability exposures from Google and Samsung to maintain the device’s reliability and offer users secure and error-free services. However, the changelog does not include any new features or changes.
Availability and installation
It is an initial rollout, so it may take hours or days to reach all eligible devices. The company will soon expand this update to more countries. To check and install the update, just go to the system settings, tap on software update, and tap on the download and install button.
